Description
The Vortex Diamondback 8x42 are binoculars for bird watchers and travelers. The HD glass provides an optimized image with a high resolution. This way, the colors stay true to nature and the image is sharp from edge to edge without chromatic aberrations. Thanks to the 5.3mm exit pupil and the twilight factor of 18.3, you can easily use these binoculars during sunset. You can observe drinking animals in twilight, for example. With the close focus of 1.5 meters, you can easily focus on subjects closer to you. This way, you can also focus on footprints or birds low in a tree. The anti-glare coatings reduce reflections. This also gives you good visibility in a lot of sunlight.

- Stuck in the hand
- Slightly larger in size due to magnification and brightness.
Not too heavy and with the comfortable carrying strap it is no problem to take the binoculars with you for longer trips. The binoculars are also shockproof and a rain shower is no problem either.

This viewer was to replace a porro prism 7x50 that was more than 50 years old. Then you expect the image to be better, but no. It is true that the image is sharp and clear for the most part and the magnification and angle of view are slightly better. On the other hand: the distortion at the edges and the blurry bottom part of the image. The latter may be caused by the connection of the eyepieces to my glasses. No problem with my old 7x50. Viewer returned. I want to make progress with my purchase...
