I have been using this device for about two weeks now.
The water reservoir is certainly big enough for me, filling it up once in a while is also simple under the tap, with the removable, light reservoir. It also takes a while before the ironing board gets too damp, so it's not that bad in terms of water consumption.
The sturdy carrying lock makes it easy to move and store as a whole. I personally find the iron itself quite heavy. As a comparison, I borrowed my sister's perfect care Elite for a week, and that turned out to be a more than significant difference. (more than half – almost half a kilo – more). Because I'm looking for something specifically to relieve my tennis elbow, that was a bit of a disappointment. When I buy a device myself, that will certainly be decisive.
I also got used to the fact that I can just leave the iron around the ironing table. At first I had an uneasy feeling about it, but that went away quickly!
Furthermore, it is very quickly ready to use! Nice if you still want to iron something quickly in the morning.
The cable was also never in the way and is long enough. It is also relatively quiet – Watching TV is fine – although I personally find the ‘ticking” when steaming rather annoying.
The ironing itself goes well, the sole glides very smoothly, normal creases are removed just fine and it is very easy that you no longer have to pay attention to temperature. Printing, finer sweaters and the like came out of the ironing process without damage – without shine/prints and without sticking to the sole.
I find the steam function a bit less (especially compared to the elite). It works, but there is some kind of delay. I often want to quickly steam out a crease here or there, and the appliance does not immediately respond when you press the steam button. Even if you let it go, it will steam a little further. I have also almost burned my fingers a few times because the steam comes out very generously, even when the appliance is flat on the garment. With the elite I had that (in my opinion) much less. The first ironing session I always had the idea that I was doing something wrong because I didn't feel it worked optimally, very strange.
Descaling was not necessary yet, so I can't say much about that. Lime stains from the steam holes of the appliance (which I did have with my old, non-Philips appliance) have fortunately not happened to me yet.
