How do you clean the gas barbecue burners?

Step 1: safely remove the burner tubes from your gas barbecue

It's important that you first disconnect the pressure regulator and gas bottle from your gas barbecue. This way, you prevent dangerous situations. Now remove the grill rack and all other parts that lay on top of the burners. Afterwards, take the burner tubes from the gas barbecue. Check the manual of your barbecue for how to remove the tubes without damaging the wires.

Step 2: clean the burner tubes

It's easy to clean the burner tubes. Pierce all the holes of the tubes with a paperclip or toothpick to remove blockages. Afterwards, run a steel wire through the tube and remove the last food rests. When all the dirt is removed, you can clean the exterior of the tubes. Take a brush and some soapy water and remove the rest of the grease. Dry the burner tubes with an old towel and they're ready for use.

To remove the last of the soap, ignite the grill for 15 minutes with a closed lid.
