The images are bright than the ones of the C931, but still bright.

The C731 has Full Array Local Dimming. Full Array is similar to Mini-LED, but this technique uses fewer small LED lights. There are hundreds of zones behind the screen that light up or dim individually. This also offers a large contrast. When you watch images of starry sky, the sky is really dark. You will see a halo around the stars though. The peak brightness of 600 nits is clearly less than with the other TVs. Due to this, the TV displays a weaker contrast and images are less bright.

The C931 has an extensive audio system. The television has 2 speakers that direct the sound to your listening position and 2 speakers that direct the sound towards the ceiling. This will make it seem like you're in the middle of the action. Thanks to the built-in subwoofer, you can also enjoy a low bass while watching concerts or movies and series. The sound tracking technique ensures the sound follows the motions on the screen. For example, the sound will move from left to right when a car drives from the left to the right side of the screen.

The sound system of the C831 is similar to that of the C931. Just like that television, this TV has 2 speakers that direct the sound to you. The 2 speakers that direct the sound towards the ceiling are missing on the C831. On the back of the screen, there's a built-in subwoofer. Thanks to this, you'll also hear bass tones loud and clear, in addition to the treble. The sound tracking technique is missing on the C831.

The C731 has the least extensive audio system of the 3 televisions. The television only has 2 speakers that direct the sound towards your sitting position. The 2 upwards speakers and built-in subwoofer are missing. This audio system is sufficient for watching regular television programs. For an immersive audio experience, we recommend an external soundbar.

The TCL C931 has a stylish design with a very thin screen. This screen is equally thick everywhere. The TV looks stylish on a TV cabinet, but you can also hang it flat against the wall. The screen stands on a stylish, sleek-looking stand. There's a cutout on the back to neatly hide the cables of the TV.

The TCL C731 has a less luxurious design than the other 2 televisions. The screen is slightly thicker and has a thicker, plastic casing on the back. The bottom is also slightly thicker than the rest of the screen. Just like the C931 and C831, this television has one stand in the middle. Instead of an even stand, the stand of the C731 has a hole in the middle.
