Getting the Philips Shaver 7000 home was no problem. It easily fits in any backpack or sports bag and the useful travel pouch means you have the device on hand. The following things are in the box:

I was curious about the additional function of the shaver, because I always suffer from shaving bumps and skin irritation after shaving. For the first shave, I downloaded GroomTribe. When you open the app, you have to answer a few questions. Then it sets the right settings for your skin. As you shave, you get actual feedback about the shaving movements you're making, such as: 'Making slow circles on your face gives the best shave'. And it works. After I went through the shaving plan, I didn't have any more skin irritations.

Although the electric shaver has many options, I find it easy to operate. It fits comfortably in the hand, which makes it easy for me to hold while shaving. You can shave both dry and wet with this shaver. Normally, I always shave wet, but the app indicated that I could shave dry. So I tried that and it works. I don't have any shaving irritations anymore. The result is super smooth, without having to use force.

Because of the click system, I hardly had to use any force to change the shaver head for the beard trimmer attachment. The attachment has 5 cutting lengths between 1 and 5 millimeters. You can easily switch cutting lengths with the button at the bottom of the attachment. I was particularly surprised by the results. Unlike my old beard trimmer, I don't feel the shaving of the hair. With no difference in noise, the Shaver S7960/17 trims my beard to perfection.

The shaver head catches some of the shaved hairs during shaving. So it's important you keep the shaver clean. Cleaning the shaver is pretty quick. You click the shaver head open at the top, after which you simply empty it above the trash can. With the useful cleaning brush, you then wipe away the remaining hairs. Because I find it important that the shaver is clean, I also rinsed the shaver head under the faucet.
