Expert review Samsung Galaxy S26
In February 2026, Samsung launched the Galaxy S. This new high-end smartphone is compact and superfast. I was able to test this smartphone for a short while. In this Samsung S26 review, I'll tell you about my first impression of the device. You can find an extensive review here soon.

First impression
The first thing I notice about the Samsung S26 is how compact it is for a high-end smartphone. The 6.3-inch screen ensures I can easily hold the device with 1 hand and slide it into my pocket. The box only contains a cable, you'll have to buy the charger adapter yourself.
Powerhouse with Galaxy AI
While testing, I notice that the Samsung S26 responds superfast. Apps open right away and switching between multiple apps goes smoothly. The device keeps working smoothly during demanding games. The new Galaxy AI functions stand out: summarizing texts, translations, and editing photos with a short prompt on the S26 works surprisingly quickly and smoothly.
Razor-sharp photos in every situation
There are 3 cameras on the back of the Samsung S26: a standard lens, wide-angle lens, and telephoto lens. I can take sharp photos with this, both during the day and in low light. Colors look vibrant and details remain clearly visible. With the telephoto lens, I can zoom in 3 times optically without my photos becoming blurry. Videos in high-resolution look clear and smooth.
Screen less suitable for movies and series
The 6.3-inch screen has the advantage that it keeps the S26 is compact and convenient. The downside is that I do miss some screen space during movies, series, and games. The Full HD screen is sharp enough for everyday use, but people who watch a lot of videos might prefer the larger screen of the Plus or Ultra. For social media, email, and browsing, the size is very nice.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 is a compact high-end smartphone that mostly stands out because of its speed and user-friendliness. This device is nice to hold, easily fits in your pocket, and is powerful enough for demanding apps and 3D games. The cameras perform well in various lighting situations. If you love movies of watch a lot of series, a larger model like the S26 Plus or S26 Ultra might suit you better. The S26 is a good choice for everyone who wants a fast, compact smartphone.
