Both you and your skin have to get used to a new way of shaving. You'll probably have to practice for a while to master the technique. You'll probably have a reaction to it. Most people don't it notice that much, but sometimes this results in razor burn. Make sure you're using the right shaving technique, because this differs per electric shaver. How long does your skin have to get used to a new shaving technique?

Don't expect the same smooth result you're used to right away. Did you switch from a shaver head system to a foil system or vice versa? It can take up to 2 weeks for your electric shaver to provide the result you're used to. If you switch from shaving with a shaver blade to electric shaving, this takes about 3 weeks.

How do you let your skin get used to a new shaving technique?

Firstly, it's important to give your skin enough rest. Don't shave your face every day, but give it a day of rest to recover. Keep the skin clean by washing it regularly. In addition, nourish your skin by hydrating it with an active day cream or different care. This way, you replenish your skin with necessary nutrients like vitamin E.

What id you don't see a good result after that?

After 3 weeks, the irritation decreases and the new shaving technique should provide the right shaving performance. Isn't this the case? Something else is going on. It could be that your skin is hypersensitive to the new shaving technique you use. In that case, we recommend you to have a look at electric shavers that are made for sensitive skin.
