Why you want to insure your Macbook at Coolblue
You probably prefer not to think about it when you buy a new MacBook, but accidents do happen. An insurance for your MacBook is always a good plan. That's for your ease of mind, and for your wallet. We'll tell you what a MacBook insurance from Coolblue is and how it benefits you here.
What's a Coolblue Protection Plan?
When checking out your new MacBook, you have the option to get a Protection Plan. You pay for this with a one-time payment. With a Protection Plan, you insure your new MacBook against damage. Did you have an accident? We'll repair your MacBook. If repairs aren't possible anymore, you'll receive the replacement value as CoolblueCredit. Did you spill a coffee on your MacBook while you were working? We'll repair your device, so you can get started again soon. This way, you can take your MacBook with you without worries.
What are you insured for?
Protection Plan
With the extensive Protection Plan, your MacBook is insured against damage even when it's your own fault. This means you don't have to worry about accidentally dropping your MacBook or spilling water over it. Contact our customer service, indicate it in our store, or fill out the online damage form. You can find this form in My Coolblue. We'll then repair your MacBook. If the repair isn't possible, you'll receive the replacement value in CoolblueCredit. Damage that happened in foreign countries is also covered.
Protection Plan with theft coverage
The Protection Plan with theft coverage covers damage and theft. You always have to report theft to the police within 48 hours. Then contact Coolblue via verzekeringen@coolblue.nl and attach the police report. You'll receive the current price of the same or a comparable product in CoolblueCredit. You can then choose a new product yourself. You never pay more than your deductible for these claims. For repairs, this is 10% of the purchase price. For theft, this is 20%. The maximum deductible is € 300.
