The Samsung Family Hub is a side-by-side fridge with a large fridge and freezer compartment as well as many useful functions. For example, you can see whether there's a traffic jam on the way to work, listen to your favorite music in the kitchen, and check what food is still in the fridge when you're at the supermarket.

Save energy costs

You save the most on energy costs with a Samsung side-by-side fridge with a C energy label. Thanks to the Samsung AI Energy mode, you can save up to 15% on energy. The SmartThings app gives you insight into your energy consumption. When you activate AI Energy mode, the technology adjusts the compressor speed and defrost function to your usage behavior.

Samsung SmartThings is Samsung's smart home platform. You can use it to connect all your smart devices. All of our side-by-side fridges have WiFi. This means you can easily control your side-by-side fridge with your smartphone or tablet. With SmartThings, you get insight into your energy consumption, maintenance involved becomes less, and you get tips on the tastiest recipes.

Side-by-side or French door?

Side-by-side fridges

A side-by-side fridge has 2 doors. The freezer and fridge compartments are next to each other. When you open a door, you can see what's in the fridge right away. With Smart Conversion, you can set up your large fridge exactly as you want. You can simply switch off the freezer compartment when you go on vacation, or turn it into another fridge compartment. This is useful when you're hosting a party, for example. This gives you enough space to cool all of your drinks.

A side-by-side fridge has a larger overall capacity, so you have more space for the weekly groceries of a large family.
With Smart Conversion, you can easily convert the freezer compartment into an extra cooling space.

It's less suitable for large products such as a large cake.

Side-by-side fridges with French door

In a French door fridge, the fridge compartment is at the top of the fridge and the freezer compartment is at the bottom. This fridge has 3 or 4 doors. The fridge compartment is slightly wider than in a side-by-side fridge, but not quite as high. This gives you more space for wide foods such as a whole chicken or a large cake. The useful and stylish freezer drawers ensure you can easily grab your frozen products at any time.
