Nothing wrong with that in itself, that's actually the nice thing about barbecuing, playing with the fire and seeing that the meat is cooked and not black. The latter is quite difficult with this barbecue. The problem is that it can hold quite a lot of briquettes or charcoal and if you fill the bottom with 1 layer (so certainly not 2 layers together), it gets really hot. Then you find out that the grid can only be placed at 1 distance above the briquettes and then it goes too fast. By playing with the ventilation under the briquettes, the lid and aluminum foil on the grid, it is easy to work with. Lighting is a breeze, firelighters on the bottom, grid on top, thin layer of briquettes on top and within fifteen minutes everything is glowing. The first rust spots are already on the handles, despite the fact that it is in an unheated shed and is just 1 year old, so this barbecue will not last for years, but everything else looks decent. It stands firmly on its 2 wheels and 3rd leg, which makes the chance of falling over seems minimal. The handle does not get really hot either, so you can easily move the barbecue when it burns.
