I bought this tripod to carry in my hiking backpack. It is light, compact and can still be extended to a reasonable working height. According to the specifications, this tripod can handle devices up to a weight of 1.5 kg. My Nikon D7200, including a zoom lens 18-200 weighs about 1.2 kg. So I thought that should work. Not so! The tripod keeps the device upright, but the ball head is not strong enough to bear the weight. When setting, you always have to aim a little higher because the device then always drops a little bit. Impossible to work accurately. This tripod is at most suitable for a slightly larger compact camera or perhaps a very light DSLR with prime lens.
