I've been hesitating about buying a Vitamix or Blendtec for years. The number 1 reason why I went for the Blendtec is that it fits easily under my kitchen cupboard and therefore looks nice on the counter. In addition, he also makes perfect soups (the steam comes off!) in 5 minutes including preparation time. When I made smoothies with my old blender, after 5 minutes you get a separation between the moisture (at the bottom) and the fibers of the fruit (at the top). But with the Blendtec you don't have this anymore. Even more than 12 hours after making a smoothie, the juice that remained was still delicious and a nice substance. So really recommended!
