The sound is not tinny or very shrill but good for a clock radio (if I want to hear quality I turn on the stereo ;) and when I'm lying in bed the sound doesn't have to be so loud) You can fall asleep with music from a radio station and wake up to the sound of another station or buzzer... and this sound gradually gets louder so wake up nice and quiet... Both the display and the sound can be controlled very well, I had in the past radios that gave too much volume at its lowest position ... you do not suffer from this with this (the same applies to the display) Furthermore, there are too many extra displays to mention. All in all, I think this is a very good clock radio, handy in size, easy to operate, good sound, many options.
