With the Bowers & Wilkins PV1D, the bass of a song or movie soundtrack will sound deep and undistorted. This active subwoofer has a spherical design and 2 symmetrically placed 200mm drivers. I have not used this, firstly I have to reconnect the cable at the bottom and remove it afterwards or you have a loose cable on the floor. Sound is nice and tight and indeed without resonance, it is also completely silent when it is in standby. In my old sub from HK you always heard a noise when it was on standby. I love the small build and finish, especially with the metal speakers on the side. This also has a disadvantage as they are unprotected it is very easy to bump against them, causing them to be damaged. Only that price is a bit to swallow, but I do not regret the purchase.
