According to our WiFi speaker expert
The KEF LS50 Wireless allows you to listen wirelessly to high-quality sound reproduction. You can connect these speakers via WiFi or Bluetooth with your smartphone, tablet, or laptop. You can listen to hi-res audio via WiFi, while Bluetooth apX lets you enjoy CD quality. The speakers have an integrated amplifier, so you don't have to connect them to peripherals. You do need to connect the speaker to the power grid. There's no need for a receiver or preamplifier. Don't have any wireless devices? In that case, you can easily connect connect a TV, computer, media player, or console to the analogue or digital outputs. Whatever you're listening to, the 2-way system and Uni-Q technology provide a sonic image that wide and clear.

I have more than 13 years of experience with beautiful high-end audio equipment from Naim, Lyngdorf, Kef, Harbeth, B&W and for example Buchart. Since this hobby takes up a lot of space, is expensive and I sat down for it less in recent years, I was looking for a simple/cheaper alternative for the living room.
There are several all-in-one solutions on the market. Tried Naim Mu-So2 first, but this high-end soundbar had way too much bass, which was hard to tame with the options in the accompanying NAIM app. Also the sound image was simply small and the difference is too big compared to my current set.
Quickly exchanged the Naim for the KEF LS50 wireless (problem-free) at the Amsterdam Cool-Blue branch. I already know the original LS50 and knew how good this speaker could sound on its own. All professional and user reviews are unanimously positive. I also looked at all-in-one speakers from Elac and Dali, but they lack extensive EQ options and that is very important for my apartment.
After I installed the Kefs LS50 wireless on corresponding stands in my living room, it soon became clear that these all-in-one speakers are of a special caliber. Immediately did a firmware upgrade and started listening with Spotify and Tidal. Both platforms sound good, Tidal hi-fi has a little more resolution, but you can enjoy Spotify without any problem.
Because you can tame the bass well in the options, I and especially my neighbors below are very happy. The speakers are 20 cm from the wall, so it is very important to be able to tune it low. I even turned on the subwoofer (high-pass) filter at 80hz in the KEF control app because my apartment has huge standing waves with peaks around 50 and 70 Hz. What a relief, just so much control over the adjustment that I can turn harder than before, because the bass often had too much energy for me to play at a decent volume.
Also tried Sonarworks room correction software on the LS50 with my laptop, but it turned out not to be necessary. Especially when I increased the treble by 2db in the KEF app, there was hardly any difference with Sonarworks tuning. The increase in the treble provides significantly more detail and space in the soundstage, without it ever becoming shrill. The speakers disappear completely, music becomes almost tangible like a painting. Much more expensive high-end gear offers more detail and other typical audiophile features, but the KEFs are certainly true all-rounders and do everything right. It will be really hard to come close with traditional equipment at this price.
TIP: The official stand is 65cm, which is actually 10cm too low. That's why I ordered isoacoustics 155 speaker feet for the stands, with which they are 8cm higher for a larger sound image.
If you really want to run really hard, you should probably look for other speakers. Personally, I rarely get past 50 (out of 100), that's hard enough. Up to 70 they sound remarkably good, above that you can hear the compression. These are basically neutral speakers, but they can deliver a lot of controlled bass that goes very deep. A subwoofer may only be necessary in large rooms, especially if you want to play loudly.
Finally, the KEF LS50 wireless surpasses all expensive high-end equipment I have experienced with one feature: at low volumes (speech level or lower) the KEF is still very musical, detailed, energetic and easy to follow. Very nice if you want to drown in the music in the late hours.

Incredibly beautiful sound. I was hesitant at first because this set is not cheap; Certainly no regrets!

Very good speaker set with high-end sound. Take some time for the setup and the associated settings. Such as distance from wall, size of the room and other characteristics of the listening room. Many options for entrances. Both wired and wireless. Better sound than through my passive set ls50 with mcintosh amplifier.
