It takes some getting used to how it works, it is not a curling iron and also not a hot air brush. The pliers themselves get quite hot so be careful with that. Just practice and when you get the hang of it, it's done. I don't have very long hair, so in combination with the large brush I have a light cover at the bottom. If you have longer hair, you'll get more of a hit. When a few tufts are just crazy in the morning, I turn on the brush, before I'm done brushing my teeth, it is warm. Then I run the brush through the crazy tufts and some more at the front and it's good again! Very handy!
