Bought this all-in-one as a replacement for Canon PIXMA TS6150. Now 4th Canon printer and assumed that with new models the options remain the same or improve, but certainly not that the printer deteriorates with fewer options. Much is the same, but the negatives are real in my opinion:
No more scan button on the device itself. The printer is far away from my laptop and with the previous printers I was used to being able to take all the pieces to be scanned with me to the printer and then give the scan command from the printer. The data was then automatically transferred to the laptop. Now I always have to put something on the scanning plate first and then walk to the laptop to give the order. With a stack of documents it is very often walking back and forth or disconnecting the laptop from the monitor and then connecting it to the printer. The usefulness of wireless disappears a bit with this. Really think it's a miss from Canon and I'm disappointed about this.
The screen on the printer is very small and no longer a touch screen like the predecessors. It is difficult to read, to read texts you have to scroll because it does not fit on the screen and the touch screen was also easy.
