With the Arturia KeyStep Pro, you can play all your hardware and software instruments. This device is a MIDI keyboard and sequencer in one. That means you can play melodies manually or program notes step by step via the sequencer. The sequencer has 4 channels, so you control 4 instruments at the same time. You decide if you want to do this via MIDI or CV/Gate signals. Use MIDI to operate your synthesizer and drum machine. With CV/Gate signals, you can control your Eurorack modules. The keyboard also has aftertouch. That means that you can modulate the tones of your software or hardware by pressing the keys more forcefully. This way, you can adjust a characteristic of the sound while you play, without turning any of the dials.
