After a month of use, I have come to the following conclusion: interesting technology, but certainly not ready yet. I would therefore not recommend this straightener to replace your old straightener with a cord. I kept the straightener anyway, because it can be somewhat useful to take with you on a trip or on an outing where there is no electricity. But I wouldn't rely entirely on the straightener. After charging for at least 3 hours, it does just fine what is expected of it: for 10-20 minutes at least. It warms up completely and my hair is shiny and straight after use. It lasts about 10 minutes on the hottest temperature setting. After those 10 minutes, the light suddenly changes from green (= fully charged) to yellow and red (= empty battery) within 30 seconds. It lasts 20 minutes on a lower temperature setting. In addition, the on and off button does not always work immediately. Sometimes you have to try 3-4 times before it starts up or shuts down. I ordered the straightener 2x: the first time the button didn't work at all (I couldn't even determine the heat setting). Coolblue quickly sent me a new hair straightener that was not defective, but I still notice that the quality is certainly not high. Conclusion: interesting for emergencies, but certainly not worth 200 euros.
