So for people who only intend to play music from their phone, fine, super fun, party boost works perfectly.

So not via your laptop. In no way. Perhaps there will be an update from JBL that makes this possible, would be so neat. And if not, there may be some clever programmers who can hack the firmware so that the box thinks your PC is a phone, something like that. I am waiting for it.
