The JBL Charge 5 is the successor of the Charge 4 and the fifth speaker from the Charge series. Because of the powerful sound and the water resistance, I think this is the ideal speaker for both indoor and outdoor use. I just regret that I can't pair it with a JBL Charge 4.
Clear sound at high volume
One of the nicest things about this speaker is that it produces a high volume. He does this without compromising too much on the sound quality. I turn the volume up loud and voice still sounds pretty clear. Here and there details are lost, but I do not find this disturbing at such a high volume.
Powerful sound
The speaker doesn't just convince me at a high volume. When I play music at a normal level, the sound is powerful. I sit at the table with friends and the speaker is 4 meters away. Everyone can hear the music just as well and I don't have to turn up the volume. This makes the speaker ideal for indoor use.
Ideal for outdoors
The speaker is not only ideal for indoors, but also outdoors. I place it in the bathroom, take it to the beach or put it outside in the park during a workout. Thanks to the IP67 certification, it will not break through water. The battery life of 20 hours ensures that I listen to my favorite songs all day long.
Robust appearance
Compared to its predecessor, this speaker has a more robust appearance. That's why I think it's a little nicer finished. The only thing I regret is that I don't connect the speaker to the JBL Charge 4. I can only connect it to a Charge 5, or other JBL speakers with JBL Party Boost for stereo sound.
