Ever since the announcement at this year's (digital) CES (2021), I had become very curious about the possibilities of the new "Tour" series from JBL. This series must be the top model of the already known Tune (entry level) and Live (higher positioned) series of in-ears and headphones and (much) more focused on the well-known JBL sound quality in combination with improved microphone techniques for digital meetings. These in-ears (Tour Pro +) and the over-ears (Tour One) should appear in the shops in May 2021 and have therefore been keeping an eye on the internet since mid-April when they would be available in the Netherlands. First at the red conculegas and not much later at Coolblue, after which I immediately placed the order for the Tour Pro + :)
Once you enter, you will indeed notice that the Tour series is of a slightly different caliber than the Live: Nice finish of the charging/storage box, but the in-ears themselves are also of very good quality and are neatly packaged. The supplied sizes of earplugs (from S, M and L in a round fit and M and L in an oval fit) and ear stabilizers mean that the in-ears can be shaped for almost every ear. The first two weeks I played with different fits to get the best possible seal, but also to make sure they don't just fall out of your ears. In my case I took the time for this because once found, you notice that the sound quality of these in-ears is really well balanced: The bass is nicely present and warm, but not certainly not dominant. The entire midrange is pure, with vocals and the majority of (acoustic) instruments coming into their own. The highs are also nicely balanced, where it should be noted that you can hear detailing that may not come into its own with others. I listened to different genres (I have a wide music preference): From electronic (Trance), to Pop, Indie, (Hard) Rock and "classical" (film music). You can also choose a few EQ modes via the "My JBL" app, but you can also adjust your own EQ to adjust it to your own taste. It should be noted that the EQ can be adjusted over arbitrary bands and is not fixed on only low, mid and high. So enough to set up!
The ANC (only on and off) does its job well. At home and at work, noise (rumbling, hissing and other ambient noises) is well suppressed. Of course, don't expect miracles, because an over-ear system will of course regulate this much better, but because the Tour Pro + has multiple microphones (3 in total, the Tour One even has 4), the ANC is more than sufficient in my case. . In addition to the ANC, the Tour Pro+ also has an "Ambient Aware" function, where the microphones of the in-ears pick up and pass sound, so you can also hear outside noise while the music continues to play. Finally, you can choose "Talktrhu", which can be useful for e.g. ordering coffee at a kiosk, broadcasting messages at the station or, for example, when a colleague walks in and you don't feel like taking the in-ears out of your to pick up ears. All in all good functions, which can be configured in the "My JBL" app how you want to operate them.
As mentioned above, with the "My JBL" app you can set a number of things to personal taste, such as: what does the left in-ear do when I operate the touch surface, what should the right in-ear control and which Voice Assistant I want to use. I myself have chosen to use the left in-ear for the various ANC functions and the right in-ear to control music (play, pause, skip, forward, etc.). You can use both for your Voice Assistant and both can be used to record a telephone conversation (old-fashioned :), Teams, Skype, etc.).
And then the microphone quality during calls / online meetings, because that is one of the reasons why I explicitly chose the Tour Pro + and what not everyone explains: This is just good! Of course I can hear everything perfectly, but I am also perfectly audible to others. I myself have put it to the test by giving a roommate my Tour Pro + and then calling this person to determine how the sound quality comes across: This is indeed very good and you can compare it with HD-Voice - a technology that is available on 4G at all major providers (KPN, VodafoneZiggo, T-Mobile) which ensures that more frequency bands are used during calls, whereby the voice comes across more faithfully compared to the old "telephone voice". in other words my voice comes across very well to the other side and you don't have the idea that you are communicating with in-ears. In my opinion, JBL has managed this well, because this is not implemented equally well with all JBLs.
In conclusion: Very good in-ears from JBL that, in my opinion, have to compete with renowned in-ears from, for example, Apple (Airpods Pro), Sony (WF-1000XM3) and Senheisser (Momentum True Wireless 2). Unfortunately, I can only compare them to the Apple Airpods Pro and I think the JBL Tour Pro + is better for my own personal use case, which mainly comes down to listening to music and meeting online. The Airpods Pro have a slightly better ANC, even if that is more because the ANC can also be set, but the sound quality of the Tour Pro + is still better. With the Airpods Pro I had a strange "pressure feeling" in my ears when the ANC is turned on. I have not experienced this with the Tour Pro +...
P.S. Sorry for the somewhat long review, but I hope this helps you too... ;)

I am moderately positive about these earphones. I've been using these earphones for a week now. The bluetooth earphones look good and solid. The case also feels good and solid. Why they gave this case round shapes is a mystery to me, because that means you can't put the case upright. The sound quality of audio is superb! The sound can be easily adjusted via the EQ. ANC works ok, but cannot be compared with an over-ear headset in this price range.
The app on the phone is very useful, you can properly set the left and right ear in terms of functionality and there are many options! The video mode works great, the lip sync in Youtube is perfect! This mode must always be set manually.
I find the business use of these earphones disappointing. In combination with Windows 10 and 11, the earphones work a lot less. Specific functions are only possible via the app on the phone. Calling is also disappointing, you hear yourself dull in a conversation. It looks like the ears are on ANC. The Pefect & Natural call as JBL claims is very disappointing in my opinion.
Finally, the wearing comfort of these ears. Oddly enough, the earpieces on the right are good, but not on the left. Which attachment I try on the left does not stay in place and falls out regularly.
