The card does its job for about 1 year, after that it seems as if all heat paste and other cooling elements are about to fail. As an example : Skyrim (after so many years) with a good selection of mods, the temperatures go up quickly there (75° temperature on the chip, but the hotspot quickly goes above 100°). Red Dead Redemption II - on High settings (not even Ultra) - there temperature of the card goes to 80° within 15min, hotspot quickly to 105°. Cyberpunk (well you can guess it already?).
These temperatures are not healthy for a graphics card, and the downside is that the card itself will reduce its clock speeds to try to stay within temperatures.
There are tutorials out there somewhere on how to replace the heat paste and paddings yourself (which also means spending extra for quality products), doing this will of course void your card's warranty + that's only for advanced users. Gaming at these temperatures for too long = damage or different BSODs. Anyway, I strongly recommend buying another card! (I've been a gamer on PC for over 25 years and take care of all components in my tower.. so I can certainly rely on some experience in terms of graphics cards).
