I bought the Rowenta 70 X-Ô two weeks ago and tested it extensively.
My first impression was that the design feels a bit 'space'-ish (We called it R2D2). I think it's a nice vacuum cleaner. Pairing the remote control with the vacuum cleaner itself caused us some problems for a while. This was a problem that was not described anywhere in the manual, but it was quickly resolved after an email to customer service. Just don't forget to do this BEFORE using the vacuum cleaner for the first time and you'll be fine.
The 'on' button is at the back, in an awkward place. You also really need to use both hands to turn the vacuum on as it will roll away if you don't hold it back while pushing that button.
The hose and head are light, so light that they sometimes seem a bit 'toy-plastic' to me. Especially from the wheels on the suction head, I wonder how long they will last. They also make a lot of squeaking noise when in use.

You can also let the handle go into a 'flex' position, to clean under cupboards, etc. Fairly handy, but if you really go quite horizontally with the handle, the suction head will come off the ground and you won't brush at all. On the other hand, it does give you an opportunity to stay upright and put less strain on your back when brushing, even under furniture.
What I also find useful is that the extra head for eg window sills is already attached to the handle. That way I use it effectively (I wouldn't go looking to use it often).
The vacuum cleaner does have some problems on harder carpets. It works fine on short-pile carpets and hard floors. Although I am sometimes afraid that the squeaky wheels would scratch my parquet (that has not happened yet).
Cleaning the filter is very easy.
Overall, I think vacuuming without a cord is a really nice experience, and I would absolutely recommend this vacuum cleaner.
