    Description

    With the ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 expansion, you provide good WiFi in a larger part of your home. You can add this expansion to an existing ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 mesh WiFi system. This expansion also uses WiFi 6E. This allows you to benefit from a much faster speed and also connect more devices to your WiFi network without slowing down your wireless internet. This makes this mesh system suitable for houses where people game and stream a lot, but also for houses with many smart home devices. You can connect the expansion wired or wirelessly to the other stations. The expansion also works as 1 WiFi router. This way, you can provide a small apartment with WiFi, for example.

    Great product!

    The ET12 works great! Very fast and especially the 2.5 Gbps ports are very nice (especially with a NAS). I have placed the node on my top floor via a wired backhaul and I now get 750/800 Mbps on the WiFi with my telephone (gigabit internet from Ziggo).

    Finally benefit from the speed that provider gives me

    • Tri-band, and specific channel for communication from router to the Access Point (2nd Asus unit). This is especially recommended for a full wireless setup. Also 4 ports for Ethernet
    • Easy setup/management via app; also via web interface (https)
    • Options for detailed router settings (port forwarding, QoS, VPN, DDNS), but not necessary
    • Not cheap

    Bought the 2 pack to enable Wifi on the 2nd floor wirelessly. Setup: router in the meter cupboard - with AP on the 1st floor. With my previous router, including an AP on the 1st floor, that didn't work enough. Now with the ASUS I have a sufficiently strong signal on the 2nd with a completely wireless installation (wireless backhaul). I did eventually choose to connect the Router and the AP wired (wired backhaul). In terms of placement and signal strength, that gives the best result in my house. However, all clients are always connected wirelessly. Speed: >350 Mbps via Wifi, both on the ground and 1st floor. On the 2nd floor, fluctuating between 150 - 280 Mbps on the 5Ghz band and 35-68 Mbps on the 2.4 band. I have a well insulated house, thick concrete floors. Floor covering: wooden planks, laid floating on a sturdy carpet underlay, built in 2005.

    Best mesh system I've ever had

    • Voltage adapter makes poor contact with 230 Volt and gives a good spark
