It's pretty much plug and play. You do need a power supply to put it in between. And, because you want to operate it with the supplied box, it has to be visible next to the TV and you can't mount it behind the TV, or you have to get up every time to press a button to change channels. Fortunately, it's small and looks pretty nice. The lights are clearly visible, but don't bother you. You do get 5 connections with it directly, so the PS5/PS4/PC/SWITCH/WII are now nicely on the same input of the TV. I haven't tested yet whether it's possible to put 2 or more next to each other.
