The Powered by MSI Velocity 2.0 is a great gaming PC for both beginners and more experienced gamers. With an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card, an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM, I think it has enough power for playing a variety of games. It also looks great in your gaming setup. However, I do find it a shame that it doesn't have built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless use.
First Impression
In the box, I found an envelope with some accessories for upgrades, the power cable, and, of course, the Velocity 2.0. The PC looks sleek, with a transparent side panel that allows me to clearly see the internals and the RGB lighting. It felt sturdy and nicely finished. When connecting and booting it up, I immediately noticed that this PC doesn't have built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. It also doesn't have USB-C ports. A true gamer naturally prefers to play via a wired internet connection, but keep this in mind if you already have some gaming accessories in your setup. After connecting and booting up, I immediately started exploring the MSI Center software. I thoroughly explored the settings for the RGB-lit components. From rainbows to single colors and beautiful patterns, it's all possible. This makes the gaming experience much more enjoyable.
Beautiful lighting effects during gaming
For this review, I installed three different games: Little Nightmares, Halo Infinite, and Skyrim. This gave me a good impression of the Velocity 2.0's performance in different types of games. A light indie game like Little Nightmares looks great even on standard settings. Switching to ultra settings truly brought the game to life thanks to the graphics card's ray tracing, which created beautiful lighting effects. I also noticed the same power of ray tracing while playing Halo Infinite and Skyrim. I didn't even need the highest settings for realistic and impressive graphics; everything looked great even on lower settings. The games ran smoothly, and the PC didn't get warm or loud. In addition, with 32 GB of RAM, I streamed my gameplay via Twitch without any problems. Furthermore, this PC easily handled demanding Adobe programs, making it versatile for gamers, content creators, and creatives. Thanks to the extra accessories for upgrades, I always have room to customize this PC if I feel like it.
Good, future-proof gaming PC
The Powered by MSI Velocity 2.0 is recommended if you want a prebuilt PC powerful enough for light and medium-level games. It performs well with popular games and offers flexibility when it comes to upgrades and expansions. It also looks great thanks to the adjustable RGB lighting. For very demanding titles, I would choose a PC with a better graphics card, but this one is more than enough for me.
