The HP ProBook 465 G11 is a powerful 16-inch laptop for daily business use, such as in Office programs. I tested the laptop mainly in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, to see how fast it continued to run under high pressure with many tabs and apps in the background. With an AMD Ryzen 5 7000 series processor and 16 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM, I worked smoothly in various sheets. In addition to the power of the laptop, I also looked at the housing and security. In this review you can read my findings.
Sturdy housing with good overview
Before I started testing the processor and RAM, I looked at the housing and the size. With 16 inches I had a larger screen, which felt normal quite quickly. I am used to 15 inches myself, but the only major difference in the laptop was in the screen size. More overview in almost the same size housing is not an unnecessary luxury. The laptop has a sturdy aluminum housing, which I knocked on firmly a few times. I quickly noticed the difference with plastic or synthetic laptops, which gives a safe feeling. Of course I didn't drop the laptop, but I'm sure this ProBook can take a beating. In addition, I also found the laptop to feel quite light, which is only a big advantage.
Powerful components
The HP ProBook is known as an office laptop, which is why I started working with Google Sheets. Because data often demands a lot from the RAM and processor, this seemed like a good test to run. I opened various pivots, datasets and combined sheets, with various extra tabs in the background. All sheets and functions worked without delays, which is a big advantage. I noticed little to no hiccups, except for one moment, when starting up the largest document. After loading, everything worked smoothly. In comparison, my own laptop with a 10th generation Intel processor takes twice as long to load this document. This shows how powerful the current processors are.
Good security and privacy
With this laptop I also got a year license for HP Wolf Security, which offers extra security for business laptops. Because Windows Pro is standard on these laptops, I also decided to enable Windows Home. The fingerprint scanner is in a nice place, which makes logging in via Windows Hello very easy. That way I would easily keep hackers and snoopers outside and no one would just log in to my laptop when I leave it on my desk.
