How waterproof is the Apple Watch?
You prefer to wear your Apple Watch the entire day. And you can, even while swimming or taking a shower. Do make sure that you don't get any perfume or soap on your Apple Watch, because it doesn't tolerate that well. In this article, we'll tell you more about the waterproofness of your Apple Watch.

Swim and shower
From the Apple Watch Series 2, the watches are waterproof up to 50m underwater. This means that you can fully submerge your Watch. This allows you to swim or take a shower with it on. In the water, your Apple Watch screen locks. After swimming or your shower, tap the Digital Crown. This will make your smartwatch vibrate the water off of it.
Want to go diving, water skiing, or do a different water sport? Only the Apple Watch Ultra is suitable for that.
Water-resistant Apple Watch straps
Feel free to dive into the water with silicone Apple watch straps. Not all Apple Watch straps are water-resistant. It's not a good idea to swim or shower with the metal and leather straps. The nylon straps are also unsuitable for swimming.
Note: be careful with shampoo, perfume, and saunas
Your Apple Watch is waterproof, and you'll want to keep it that way. That's why we don't recommend exposing the smartwatch to products like shampoo and perfume. These products could affect the waterproofness.
