The product does what it should do, but in my case it is not the major upgrade that I expected when I switched from a small cheap mini USB receiver to this larger receiver.
On 2.4 ghz the range is large and stable and I have about 90 mbit up and download. For this you have to turn off the 5ghz function, since otherwise it will keep switching back and forth and will lose the connection for about 5 seconds. This 2 to 3 times per minute is not ideal, but on only 2.4 ghz there is a very stable connection with an acceptable speed.
At 5ghz my expectations are not met.
The connection appears to be too weak, where the small USB receiver did not exactly do better, I would have expected that from this. The speed shoots from 350mbit to 1mbit and everything in between over a span of 10 seconds. Then he loses the connection for a while and it takes a long time before he connects again. My phone has a good connection in the same place via the 5ghz band.
For the size and price of the device, I personally expected more from it. At the moment it does the same job at the same speed as the much smaller and cheaper wifi receiver I had before. Unfortunately, after 5 years of loyal service, the old receiver passed away, so this receiver can take over.
I'm going to try some more to improve the 5ghz connection, since it sometimes seems to reach the expected speeds. So it is possible!
