According to our kitchen knife expert
This elegant knife set give you a complete starting kit for chopping and cutting. The set contains a paring knife, bread knife, Santoku knife, carving knife, universal kitchen knife, two chef's knives, and a honing steel to keep the knives sharp. The Integra series is characterized by the good balance between functionality and design. The design is robust, yet elegant. Crafted from highly alloyed X45 CrMo V15 steel, the knives will stay sharp for a long time, and they're stainless as well. The blades were cut under an extra sharp angle, and were carefully whetted and polished. As a result, they cut easily and safely. The knives aren't just suitable for professionals, but for amateur cooking enthusiasts as well. Together with the rugged, oak wood block, they deserve their own place on your countertop.

Due to an imminent move and the annoyance of cutting with blunt cheap knives, we decided to spoil ourselves with a new knife set. After a lot of deliberation, we decided to go for the aforementioned Sabatier knife set. This knife set was 'slightly' outside the cheap segment, but fortunately it is also not so top notch that a second mortgage was necessary.
When unpacking and setting up the knife set, I was shocked by the excess. 7 knives and a sharpening steel and all in the same block. Only the handle/handle of the knife was still visible. How would I ever remember where which knife was? Fortunately, closer inspection revealed that each knife had a clear image. This image, tactically placed on the back of the knife, immediately shows which blade is hidden in the wood.
Then came the cutting. I did this on an additionally ordered cutting board (Butler Bettula). Although I have not had the knives in my possession for very long and can therefore say nothing about the durability and cutting performance in the longer term (I also ordered a knife sharpener just to be sure), I do know that baguettes, onions, meat (both chicken and beef) and other vegetables are the worst.
The only thing left for me to say is that the knives feel quite light. My previous knife set (Sola) had a little more weight and therefore felt a bit more solid and masculine. For the time being, this is not reflected in the cutting performance, so up to now it is definitely recommended. Complete set for a great price

I myself have been a cook for a number of years and then got Sabatier knives from my boss so I already have some experience with them and those knives are blunt and worn so needed new ones and I am very happy with them

Known quality for a reasonable price. Knife block is more beautiful in real life than in the photo.
