According to our pan expert
This pot has a high-end build quality, so it's sturdy and lasts a long time.
The bumps in the lid distribute the moisture in the pan evenly, so your dish remains tender.
The Dutch oven is suitable for all heat sources, including induction and use in the oven up to 240°C.
A cast-iron pan is relatively heavy and less easy to move around than an aluminum pan.
With the Staub Round Dutch Oven 28m Red, you get an eye-catcher. You can use the enameled cast iron pan to sear, bake, steam, and caramelize ingredients. The cast iron distributes the heat gradually and evenly and retains it well. Once the pan is heated, you can continue at a low temperature. This way, your dish cooks slowly and you save energy at the same time. The flat, heavy lid has spikes on the inside. This drip system and the condensation process sprinkle moisture on the contents of your Staub Dutch oven continuously. As a result, the dish simmers evenly and you hardly lose moisture. Want to speed up the condensation process? Put ice cubes in the bowl-shaped lid when simmering.
Ideal for simmering tasty pieces of meat!
