What a picture on our stove and the glass lid allows me to keep a close eye on my creations. The cooking liquid is retained and that benefits the taste. The pan is not heavy and easy to clean after use. Not in the dishwasher, by the way. The bottom is non-slip so it won't slide off the stove when it gets hot
