Frequently asked questions
Will Coolblue deliver and install my product at my home?
We deliver your large kitchen appliances directly to your home with our own delivery van. Our delivery drivers will bring your products to your doorstep. Do you live in an apartment building without an elevator? We'll deliver to your front door up to the 4th floor. Our experts will install your built-in cooktop at your home if you've ordered this service. But you'll need an electrician to install the cooktop.
Will Coolblue dispose of my old appliance for me?
Once we've delivered your brand new large kitchen appliance, we'll take the old appliance with us free of charge and dispose of it. This saves you effort and you don't have to worry about large amounts of electronic waste. You do have to disconnect and remove the old appliance before we arrive. This saves our delivery drivers time and effort.
Is my kitchen suitable for connecting a stove?
You need a 5-pin plug (stove socket) in your kitchen to connect an oven and cooktop set or an independent cooktop. A simple socket outlet isn't suitable due to the large amounts of electricity that are generated. This could result in a cable fire. Always connect an oven via a standard 230V household socket.
How do I choose the best stove for me?
Which stove suits you best depends on your cooking needs and preferences. Most stoves have an oven with upper and lower heat. If you often prepare several dishes at the same time, a model with turbo hot air is a good choice. An additional steam function offers you even more options, such as steaming vegetables. When it comes to cooktops, you can choose between induction and glass ceramic models. You can choose an appliance with an extra-large cooking zone or a convenient keep-warm function.
What's the difference between an oven-controlled and a freestanding cooktop?
As the name suggests, an oven-controlled cooktop is linked to an oven. This means that it doesn't have a separate control option. Instead, it's controlled by the central control panel on the front of the built-in oven. This is why you can recognize a built-in cooktop by the 5 or 6 control dials. On the other hand, an independent cooktop is controlled directly on its surface. This is usually done via a built-in touch display.
