How do you choose a garden pump?
With a garden pump, you can use rain water and water your garden in a sustainable way. When you choose, keep the maximum head and the processing capacity in mind. You can also choose a model with or without app. In this article, you can read what to keep in mind when you choose the garden pump that suits you.

Before you choose a garden pump, ask yourself the following questions.

How far upward do you want to pump the water?
You can connect the garden pump to a garden hose and pump water to the right place in your garden. How high the water goes depends on the maximum head. If you have a flat garden and the pump is at the same height as your lawn, you don't need a high head. If the water has to go higher, choose a garden pump with at least 30 to 40m head.
How much water do you want to move?
Not every garden pump pumps an equal amount of water through the hose. The processing capacity shows how much liter water per hour is moved. If you connect the pump to more sprinklers, you need a higher processing capacity than with 1 sprinkler. In that case, you'll need at least 5000L water per hour.
Do you want to control the garden pump with an app?
You can control some garden pumps via an app on your smartphone or tablet, up to a 10m distance. You can connect the pump to Bluetooth and easily turn it on or off. In the app, you can read a clear explanation, set timers, or choose schedules. This way, the irrigation pump automatically starts sprinkling at the moment you want it to.
