Difference in technology between the 9000 and 8000 series
AEG 9000: suitable for drying all laundry simultaneously
Like an AEG 8000 dryer, the 9000 series adjusts its drum movement to the type of laundry. That way, your clothes look good for longer. Besides AbsoluteCare, the 9000 series also has AbsoluteCare. This is a humidity sensor that measures which parts of your laundry are the most humid up to 10cm deep. If 1 item of clothing is more humid than another, the dryer adjusts the heat distribution. That way, even your bedding and down jackets dry evenly.
AEG 8000: suitable for all laundry
If you want to dry your wool sweater or silk blouse, the AbsoluteCare technology will benefit you. With this, the dryer adjusts its drum movement and rotation speed to the type of laundry. This way, your clothes retain their shape and don't shrink. With a silk cycle, the drum slowly rotates to the left and right. This reduces wrinkles and you won't need to worry about wear.

AEG 8000: C energy label
Among the AEG 8000 series, there are dryers with a C energy label. Choose an energy-efficient dryer with a C energy label to save energy. A C dryer saves € 450 on average during its entire lifespan. This is the estimate compared to an E energy label. The estimation is based on an 8kg dryer that lasts 10 years on average.
Difference in load capacity between the 9000 and 8000 series
AEG 9000: only 8kg
The AEG 9000 series has dryers with 8 or 9kg load capacity. With 8kg, you can dry small and medium-sized loads of laundry. For example, bedding of 1 double bed. Do you want to dry large loads at once? Choose 9kg load capacity. This way, you have to dry less often.
AEG 8000: ranges from 8 to 9kg
When you buy an AEG 8000 dryer, you can choose between 8 or 9kg load capacity. If you choose 8kg load capacity, the drum is large enough for small and medium-sized loads. When you choose an 8000 dryer with 9kg load capacity, it's suitable for large loads of laundry. For example, the clothes for multiple days, a large load of bedding, or large fabrics like curtains.
