Expert review Apple Watch Series 11
The Apple Watch Series 11 was released in 2025 and had the improved battery life as most important improvement. The battery now lasts 24 hours, so an entire day. You also receive various smart functions and keep track of your sleep and movement accurately. I've tested it extensively and I'll tell you all about it in this Apple Watch 11 review.

First impression of the Apple Watch Series 1
When setting it up, I already notice that the Apple Watch Series 11 is easy to use. I scanned my Watch with my iPhone and I was done. The most important apps are already installed. I only have to choose a nice watch face. I quickly get a feel for the controls with 1 hand. For example, I open a menu when I tap with my fingers and I close it again when I turn my wrist.
Large Watch with bright screen
I have a large wrist with a 19cm wrist circumference and the large 46mm version fits well. The watch case is large, but a lot thinner than that of the Watch Ultra 3, for example. Thanks to this, the watch is comfortable even at night. On the large screen, there's enough space for all my data during running, for example. The screen is bright and colorful. Because of that, I also liked to regularly create my own watch faces with my photos.
Battery life of more than a day
The battery life is better than that of its predecessor, the Watch 10. I often have to charge my Watch 11 only after 1.5 days. A run does cost 10 to 15%. If you work out regularly, you have to charge every day. Just like the older Apple Watch models. Thanks to fast charging, the battery is charged to 80% again after 45 minutes. This means I could quickly charge my Watch during breakfast before the work day.
Smart functions work well
You can choose which notifications you see on the Watch 11. For example, I don't want to see my WhatsApp messages, but thanks to calendar notifications I was in time to all my meetings. It's convenient for me that many apps open automatically. For example, if I turn on Spotify on my iPhone, I get a music player as a pop-up on my Watch right away. The Find Devices app was the most useful to me. When I lost my iPhone again, I had it make a noise with 1 tap on my Watch.
Accurate sports and health readings
With the Series 11, I tracked health statistics by default, and also my running workouts. The Activity rings that you have to fill up are a fun way to achieve your movement goals every day. With the new Sleep Score, I could see if I slept long enough and if I had to go to bed earlier the next day. During running, the Series 11 accurately tracked my heart rate and distance. I did notice that the GPS is a bit less accurate in the forest than the more precise GPS of the Ultra 3, for example.
Conclusion: complete Watch with improved battery life
In my opinion, the Apple Watch Series 11 is a very complete smartwatch that's easy to use. I can keep track of information about my sleep, steps, and workouts and can view everything on the bright screen. The readings are sometimes a little less accurate than the Watch Ultra 3, for example, but good enough for me. The improved battery often lasts more than a day, especially when you don't work out much.
