In addition to the laptop, the box also contains the charging cable and the matching stylus. After an hour of software installation, I get right to testing it. Switching the laptop to tablet mode feels a bit strange at first. But this hand movement quickly becomes second nature. This is the first time I really notice the size of the 16-inch casing. As a result, the Yoga 7 feels noticeably heavier than smaller models. Still, it fits very comfortably in my hand in tablet mode. The keyboard automatically turns off in this mode, which prevents accidental clicks on the back. When I flip it back to laptop mode, the fingerprints on the display immediately catch my eye.

Although it has a 16-inch screen, the Lenovo Yoga 7 feels surprisingly easy to handle in everyday use. The slim body fits easily into a backpack or a larger bag. The rounded edges feel comfortable, especially in tablet or tent mode. Even on a smaller desk, there’s still enough room next to it for a mouse, a notebook, or a coffee cup.

The OLED display really shines when editing photos and videos. Colors appear rich and vibrant, while dark scenes retain detail and depth. Blacks look truly dark, which clearly enhances the contrast. In bright rooms, strong reflections are noticeable on the glossy surface. If direct light is shining on the screen, it’s best to move the laptop so you can see all content clearly again without distracting reflections.

The flexible hinge is a great help for many tasks in my daily office routine. In classic laptop mode, I write emails, reports, or longer texts. For TV shows or presentations in tight spaces, I simply switch to tent mode. As a tablet, I use the device for sketching or editing images with the stylus. It glides smoothly across the display and responds without any noticeable delay. After work, I attach the stylus magnetically to the case. That way, it stays within reach and doesn’t get lost in my backpack. USB ports and other connectors are built right into the casing. I can easily plug in a mouse, monitor, or USB flash drive without needing an additional adapter. The battery easily lasts through a long work day of emails, documents, and some streaming.

The keyboard has large keys with a distinct click. This allows me to type long texts quickly and with few errors. The touchpad also responds precisely to my touch and scrolling movements. Only in very quiet rooms do I hear the clicks a bit more clearly than on other laptops. In the evening, the keyboard backlight with its various brightness levels is useful. I can easily see every key, even in low light.
