Expert review of the Samsung U7099F

The setup is straightforward. I just attach the stand to the TV and it stands firmly on my cabinet. The stand doesn't seem quite as high-quality as those on the Samsung premium models. But that's not a problem as it has a beautiful design and still fits well in my living room. Connecting to the WiFi also works smoothly, so I can get started right away.

The Samsung screen impresses with its crystal-clear sharpness. Series, movies, and documentaries look very realistic thanks to the 4K UHD resolution. With HDR10+, colors appear more intense and contrasts look stronger. Scenes with little light maintain their depth, and I can see various details clearly in nature shots. The 50Hz refresh rate is enough for everyday TV viewing. However, movements don't always look completely smooth during fast-paced action sequences.

The Tizen operating system provides a clear interface where I can find all the important streaming services like Prime Video, Disney+, and YouTube right away. The menu navigation is clearly structured and the controls are smooth and easy to use. I first have to create a Samsung account to use the smart platform, though. All I need is my email address. Luckily, the whole process is free and quick.

The U7099F includes a simple standard remote. It fits comfortably in your hand and has all the usual buttons. It looks less elegant compared to the modern Samsung One Remote, but it works reliably. Users who value minimalist design may find it lacks a bit of that premium feel. But in everyday life, it does the job.
