First impression of the Samsung DU7179
Installing the Samsung DU7179 is very easy. I just need to attach the TV stand to the television, and the television stands firmly on my TV cabinet. The stand doesn't seem quite as high-quality as those on the Samsung premium models. But that's not a problem as it has a beautiful design and still fits well in my living room. Connecting to my WiFi router also works smoothly.
Colorful images in 4K
The 4K screen impresses me with its high resolution. It lets me see detailed images in movies and series. I'm also pleasantly surprised by the vibrant colors, which is all thanks to the HDR10 and HDR10+ support. When watching a nature documentary, the colors of the sea look very realistic and vibrant. The 50Hz refresh rate is enough for everyday TV viewing. For very fast scenes in action movies, for example, the DU7179 isn't the best choice.
User-friendly smart platform
All Samsung Smart TVs have the Tizen operating system. What strikes me right away is how clearly laid out everything is. I can easily find my favorite streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. I first have to create a Samsung account to use the smart platform, though. All I need is my email address. Luckily, the whole process is free and quick.
Minimalist remote
I really like the included One Remote. I find the elegant design appealing, and it's easier to use than expected. The remote has fewer buttons than many traditional remotes, but the few buttons are enough. The controls are also intuitive and smooth. I really like that the One Remote has a solar panel on the back. This allows the remote to easily recharge itself using sunlight or indoor light.

With the Samsung DU7179, you can enjoy sharp 4K images with vibrant colors thanks to HDR10 and HDR10+. The Tizen operating system provides easy navigation and numerous streaming apps.
