First impression
When unpacking it, I notice that everything is in the device. I don't have to connect anything. The SIM card and receipt printer are already in there, so I can get started right away. The Terminal feels sturdy and is comfortable to hold. The touchscreen responds quickly and the system is clear. Within a gew minutes, I can accept my first payment.

What I like is that I can do everything with 1 device. The SumUp Terminal is a cash register system, card reader, and receipt printer. That saves space and time. I use it via WiFi, but it switches to 4G automatically when you're outside. That way, I can accept payments anywhere. Even at markets or pop-ups. Customers can pay contactlessly with their debit card, credit card, or smartphone via Apple Pay or Google Pay. You pay 1.49% per transaction in the Netherlands, 1.39% in Germany, and 1.69% in Belgium.
Smart functions
A useful function is that I can automatically fill in the assortment with AI by taking a photo of the menu card. The products appear in the catalogue right away. At checkout, I can choose the right products, add a tip, or give back cash money. That way, the device works as a payment terminal as well as a mini cash register system. All sales are stored, so I can easily keep track of the revenue and stock.
