Step 1. Turn on the coffee machine and select the right language
Step 2. Set the water hardness

You need:

500ml container
Water hardness test strip

Step 1: connect the coffee machine

Insert the plug into the socket and check if the main switch at the back of the machine is pressed.
Remove the protective film and stickers from the machine.
Turn the machine on.
Press the arrow buttons to select the right language and press the 'OK' button for several seconds to confirm.
Remove the water tank from the machine and fill it up to the 'max' marking. Close the lid and put the water tank back in place.
The notification 'Hot water' appears on the display.
Check if the hot water spout is attached to the nozzle and place a container of at least 500ml under it.
Press 'OK'to start rinsing. The coffee machine now disperses water from the spout.

After 1 minute, you'll see 1, 2, 3, or 4 red squares.

Use the arrows to go to 'water hardness' and confirm with 'OK'.
Press the arrows and select the number of red squares that matches the water hardness strip.
Confirm with 'OK'.
Press 'Menu/Esc' to leave the menu.

Click the milk reservoir onto the machine

Remove all paper from the milk reservoir.
Detach the hot water spout from the machine.
Click the milk reservoir onto the machine.
The machine is now ready for use.
