How do you use Siemens intelligentDosing?
Before you start using your Siemens intelligentDosing washing machine, you have to set up some things. You have to fill the reservoirs and set whether you use 2 detergents or 1 detergent and 1 fabric softener, for example. It's also important to set the base dosage to the right amount of milliliters. Read this article to find out how.
Get started with Siemens intelligentDosing
You can easily set up intelligentDosing via the 5 steps below:
- Step 1: fill the detergent
- Step 2: fill the fabric softener
- Step 3: use 2 different detergents
- Step 4: set up the base dosage
- Step 5: turn off intelligentDosing
Step 1: fill the detergent
The first step is to fill the detergent reservoir. You'll find this reservoir on the right side on the detergent drawer. Open the drawer, open the right cover of number 1 and it with detergent up to the 'MAX' line. Your washing machine is now almost ready to dose your detergent.
Step 2: fill the fabric softener
If you use fabric softener, you can put it in the left intelligentDosing reservoir. You'll find it in the middle of the detergent drawer. Open the drawer and the cover of number 2, and fill the reservoir with fabric softener up to the 'MAX' line.
Step 3: use 2 different detergents
Don't you use fabric softener? Set up the fabric softener reservoir as an extra detergent reservoir easily.
- Press and hold the button with the number '2' for fabric softener for 3 seconds.
- Press the i-DOS 2 button again to set the detergent. The flower icon now turns into a detergent bottle. Want to switch back to fabric softener? Press the i-DOS 2 button again to set it so fabric softener.
- Wait a little bit before you can save the settings.

Step 4: set up base dosage
How much detergent the washing machine should use depends on your detergent. On every detergent bottle, you can find the amount of milliliters per a specific amount of laundry. Check the detergent bottle how many milliliters you need for 4 to 4kg of laundry and set it up on your washing machine.

Step 5: turn off intelligentDosing
Do you want to add detergent yourself? You can easily turn off the automatic detergent dosing as well. Press the i-DOS 1 and i-DOS 2 buttons a couple of times until the icons are off. The intelligentDosing is now turned off, so you can add your own detergent to the detergent reservoir on the left side. Want to turn intelligentDosing back on? Press the i-DOS buttons again until the detergent and fabric softener icons appear.
