How many handsets do you need?
Sometimes, it's useful to be reachable in more than one place in your house. In that case, you should choose a landline phone with multiple handsets. Or, easily expand the number of handsets at a later time. In this article, I'll explain the options with multiple handsets and the advantages and disadvantages of this.
Number of handsets per usage situation
The number of handsets you need depends on your usage situation. Think about the places you want to put it and in how many rooms in advance. Do you want to be reachable in the living room and bedroom= A set with 2 handsets will do. Do you want a device for every floor of your commercial property? Check the landline phones with 4 handsets or more.
Advantages of multiple handsets
If you buy a set with several handsets, people can reach you in different locations. An additional advantage is that you can call internally between the handsets for free. You can easily forward incoming calls internally. You can sometimes transfer the contact list to the extra handsets at the push of a button. It's not possible to add unlimited handsets. The maximum number of separate handsets that can be connected to a base station differs per device.
Expand later
Do you already have 1 or more landline phones with GAP functionally to which you want to connect a new handset?
