How do you clean the brew group?
We recommend to clean the brew group monthly. Use the Krups cleaning tablets for this. This way, you can maintain your coffee machine, and the coffee taste stays at its best. The cleaning tablet remove coffee residue from the pipes. It's easy to go through the cleaning program.

Step 1: prepare the cleaning
- Take the drip tray, coffee grounds container, and water tank from the coffee machine.
- Empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container, and place them back in the machine.
- Fill the water tank with tap water.
- Place a container of at least 600ml below the coffee outlet and steam wand.
- Take the rack from the top of the machine and place a Krups cleaning tablet in the opening.
- Close the lid.
- Go to 'maintenance' via the menu, and choose for the cleaning of the coffee circuit. That's the icon with the letter 'k' and a water droplet below.
- Press 'start'.
Step 2: rinse the coffee circuit
- The rinse takes about 10 minutes. The machine stops rinsing automatically.
- Remove the container and the drip tray, empty them and place them back.
- Press 'start' to start the second rinse. This takes about 3 minutes.
- The coffee machine goes back to the menu with recipes.
- Remove the container and drip tray, empty them both, and place the drip tray back.
- You have successfully cleaned the brew group of your Krups coffee machine.
