During the PlayStation State of Play in September 2025, Sony announced the game Marvel's Wolverine with a release date. The action game releases on 15 September 2026. Insomniac Games has worked for a long time on the development of Marvel's Wolverine. The game was already announced in 2022 during a PlayStation Showcase. The game releases in September only on the PlayStation 5. You can view the trailer here.
Storyline
In this adventure, you can play as Logan (Wolverine), played by actor Liam McIntyre. The story is about his search for answers to a dark past that keeps haunting him. He faces enemies that want to stop him at all cost. Logan is a fighter with a quickly healing body and unwavering determination. But he's also a tormented hero that struggles with the consequences of his own anger.
Gameplay, enemies, and locations
The game emphasizes fast, brutal fights in which Wolverine uses his adamantium claws and berserker rage. Enemies like the Reavers, Mystique, and Omega Red play a part and even a prototype of an iconic robot appears. The action takes you along various locations. From the busy streets of Tokyo to the icy wilderness of Canada, and the mysterious Madripoor. This variation in enemies and surroundings provides a variation of fights and adventures.
