The most common errors of Bauknecht washing machines
Your Bauknecht washing machine has an error. There might be a problem with the water supply, or the water doesn't drain. As a general tip, turn off the washing machine, unplug the connector, and plug it back in after 1 minutes. Sometimes, you have to to a bit more. Solve Bauknecht washing machine error
Your Bauknecht washing machine displays 1 of these errors:
- Error code E1 or FH: there's a problem with the water supply.
- Error code E2, F2, FA: there's a leak in the washing machine.
- Error code E3, F4, F2, or F26: there's a problem with the water supply.
- Error code E4: the heating element doesn't work.
- Error code E5 or F5: the temperature sensor (NTC) has an error.
- Error code E6, F6, F7, or F20: the motor has an error.
- '#' Symbol: the water filter is clogged.

Bauknecht error code E1 or FH
With an E1 or FH error, there's a problem with the water supply.
- Turn on the water supply completely.
- Straighten the supply hose.
- Check if there's a bend in the hose and take it out.
- Restart the cycle.
Bauknecht error code E2, F2, or FA
In case of error code E2, F2, or FA, there's a leak in the base plate or somewhere else in the washing machine.
- Turn off the washing machine and unplug the connector.
- Close the water supply.
- Disconnect the supply hose above a bucket.
- Put a towel behind the washing machine.
- Tip the washing machine backwards for 40 seconds.
- Plug the connector back in and open the water supply.
- Turn on the washing machine again.
Bauknecht error code E3, F4, FP, or F26
When you see E3, F4, or F26, the washing machine doesn't drain water.
- Open the hatch at the bottom of the washing machine.
- Remove the filter and clean it.
- Place the drain filter back.
- Straighten the drain hose and remove bends.
- Check if the hose isn't higher than 1m.
Bauknecht error code E4
The heating element possible doesn't work anymore when you see the E4 error code. Before you call a mechanic, test the following:
- Turn off the washing machine and unplug the connector.
- Turn the machine back on after a few minutes.
- Still doesn't work? Let a mechanic look at it.
Bauknecht error code E5 or F5
The washing machine has an NTC error, which means the temperature sensor doesn't work correctly.
- Turn off the washing machine and unplug the connector.
- Turn it back on after a few minutes.
- Nothing happening? Let a mechanic look at it.
Bauknecht error code E6, F6, F7, or F20
The motor of the washing machine has an error.
- Turn off the washing machine and unplug the connector.
- Test if a different device still gets power from the socket.
- If that's not the case, there might be a power outage.
- The drum might also be too full, so take some laundry out.
- Check if it helps to keep the washing machine off the power for 30 minutes.
- If this doesn't work, the motor might be broken and you need a mechanic.
Symbol 'water filter clogged'(#)
With a hashtag symbol (#), the water filter is clogged.
- Close the water supply.
- Gently disconnect the supply hose.
- Clean the water filter.
- Place the supply hose back.
- Open the water supply.
