The most common errors of Bauknecht washing machines

Your Bauknecht washing machine displays 1 of these errors:

• Error code E1 or FH: there's a problem with the water supply.
• Error code E2, F2, FA: there's a leak in the washing machine.
• Error code E3, F4, F2, or F26: there's a problem with the water supply.
• Error code E4: the heating element doesn't work.
• Error code E5 or F5: the temperature sensor (NTC) has an error.
• Error code E6, F6, F7, or F20: the motor has an error.
• '#' Symbol: the water filter is clogged.

With an E1 or FH error, there's a problem with the water supply.

1. Turn on the water supply completely.
2. Straighten the supply hose.
3. Check if there's a bend in the hose and take it out.
4. Restart the cycle.

In case of error code E2, F2, or FA, there's a leak in the base plate or somewhere else in the washing machine.

1. Turn off the washing machine and unplug the connector.
2. Close the water supply.
3. Disconnect the supply hose above a bucket.
4. Put a towel behind the washing machine.
5. Tip the washing machine backwards for 40 seconds.
6. Plug the connector back in and open the water supply.
7. Turn on the washing machine again.

When you see E3, F4, or F26, the washing machine doesn't drain water.

1. Open the hatch at the bottom of the washing machine.
2. Remove the filter and clean it.
3. Place the drain filter back.
4. Straighten the drain hose and remove bends.
5. Check if the hose isn't higher than 1m.

The heating element possible doesn't work anymore when you see the E4 error code. Before you call a mechanic, test the following:

1. Turn off the washing machine and unplug the connector.
2. Turn the machine back on after a few minutes.
3. Still doesn't work? Let a mechanic look at it.

The washing machine has an NTC error, which means the temperature sensor doesn't work correctly.

1. Turn off the washing machine and unplug the connector.
2. Turn it back on after a few minutes.
3. Nothing happening? Let a mechanic look at it.

The motor of the washing machine has an error.

1. Turn off the washing machine and unplug the connector.
2. Test if a different device still gets power from the socket.
3. If that's not the case, there might be a power outage.
4. The drum might also be too full, so take some laundry out.
5. Check if it helps to keep the washing machine off the power for 30 minutes.
6. If this doesn't work, the motor might be broken and you need a mechanic.

With a hashtag symbol (#), the water filter is clogged.

1. Close the water supply.
2. Gently disconnect the supply hose.
3. Clean the water filter.
4. Place the supply hose back.
5. Open the water supply.
