What's a PTZ IP camera?
PTZ stands for Pan Tilt Zoom. That means a PTZ IP camera can pan, tilt, and zoom. You can do this remotely via the smartphone app. This way, you can keep an eye on a large part of the space. In this article, you can read what a PTZ IP camera is exactly and how to use it.
Pan, tilt, and zoom
A PTZ camera pans from left to right and tilts up and down. That way, you can see every corner of a space. Thanks to the zoom function, you can zoom in on people or objects to see the details even better. A camera with optical zoom doesn't lose image quality when you zoom in far.
Control the camera remotely
You can control a PTZ camera remotely using your smartphone. Via the app, you can aim the camera at the spot your want to secure. A camera with a motion sensor or facial recognition send you notifications via the app. You can then see what's happening right away.
Smart tracking function
Many Pan Tilt Zoom camera's have a smart tracking function. This means that the camera follows movement. For example, it'll pan along when someone walks by. After, the camera will go back to its original position. You can keep an eye on your pet when you're not home this way, for example. With a camera with a built-in speaker, you can talk back to the person or pet that's on screen.
