What's a SodaStream?

Fill the bottle with water and put it in the sparkling water machine. If you press the button, you add carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide comes from the CO2 cylinder that you attach to the back of the device. You can choose how much carbonic acid you add. The more you add, the more sparkling the water becomes. Do you like sparkling water with a flavor? Add syrup or fresh mint and ginger, for example.

With every SodaStream, you get a CO2 cylinder and at least 1 bottle. With the DUO model, you get an extra glass pitcher. Both types are reusable. You can clean the bottles after use in the dishwasher. With the CO2 cylinder, you can make up to 60L lightly sparkling water. When you add more CO2, you can make less than 60L with 1 cylinder.

A SodaStream comes with 1 CO2 cylinder for about 60L of sparkling water. When the cylinder is empty, you can buy a new one. Note: the purchase of cylinders happens via an exchange system. You pay a € 12.99 deposit per cylinder. You'll get that € 12.99 back if you return an empty cylinder. If you don't send an empty cylinder or don't exchange it in the store, you'll pay € 12.99 extra per cylinder. You can only use the QuickConnect cylinder for ART, (E-)TERRA, and DUO models. You can use the blue cylinder for the Crystal and Spirit models.

The advantage of a SodaStream sparkling water machine is that you always have sparkling water available. It's also good for the environment. You use a lot less plastic, thanks to the reusable bottles. You simply fill the bottles with tap water and add the amount of air yourself. This way you always drink your water according to your own taste. You can even add some flavor or some fruit to really make it special.
