In the event of quality defects, Coolblue guarantees that your appliance will be repaired or replaced free of charge for 4 or 5 years. If neither of these options is available, Coolblue will issue you a Coolblue credit.
Here's how to purchase the long-term warranty
You've chosen a product and added it to your shopping cart. In the next step, you select whether or not you'd like to purchase an extended warranty. The one-time fee varies depending on the product type. Changed your mind? No worries, you have 30 days to decide after purchasing the extended warranty.
Extra security when buying large household appliances
When buying large household appliances, you often spend a lot of time considering whether and which product best suits your needs. Appliances like freezers or dryers are essential for any household, but they are often expensive. To give you greater peace of mind when buying, you have the option of an extended warranty. This protects your large appliances for five years against damage that occurs during normal use. In Germany, the statutory warranty is only two years.
The terms of use
Because not the entire product is always damaged, in the event of defects, only parts are replaced or repaired. If a repair or exchange is not possible, Coolblue will compensate you by crediting your customer account with Coolblue credit. The Coolblue credit will be up to the purchase price, and you will then return the product to Coolblue. Once you have made use of the extended warranty, it is no longer valid.
The long-term warranty applies to these product types.

When does the warranty not apply?
The extended warranty applies only to certain types of damage, such as defective materials or product flaws, that occur during normal use. The following types of damage are not covered by the Coolblue extended warranty:
- Damage caused by improper handling or clumsiness
- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Damage caused by failure to follow the operating instructions or maintenance guidelines
- Normal wear and tear of consumable parts (such as batteries, rechargeable batteries, and bulbs)
- Software malfunctions
- User error and clumsiness (dropping, breakage, liquid damage)
- Damage caused by external factors
- Damage resulting from war or acts of war (violence)
